Black Jasmine by Toby Neal

I'M BACK! It took fourteen days after the hurricane for my electricity and heat to return. Now I am back. I have to say although it was mentally and physically exhausting, not to mention freezing (it snowed in October!!!!!) I am very fortunate.
My family is safe, our house is still standing and was not flooded. The only damage we had was a tree needed to be removed before it fell on my neighbors house during the nor'easter. So many people have no home to go to. My thoughts and prayers go out to those in need.

During the hurricane I had the pleasure to read Black Jasmine by Toby Neal.

Black Jasmine is the third book in the Lei Crime series. This story follows Lei and her boyfriend Stevens as the begin life on the Island of Maui. Lei is called to the scene of a car accident. It's Lei's insight that leads the case to be identified as Murder. In the process of finding the murderer, Lei has to deal with issues from the past as well as someone trying to murder her.

As with the first two books in the series I could not get enough! In fact I almost had a meltdown the day after the hurricane when my kindle decided to freeze, reboot and then load without any books on it. With no internet to connect too I was unable to reload the books. I was not a happy camper. I am not sure how it happened but the books reappeared about 3 hours later. Ms. Neal is so descriptive in the story that you feel like you are living the story. I look forward to reading the future adventures of Lei as well as any other series Ms. Neal may write.

The second book in the series, Torch Ginger is currently available free on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Torch-Ginger-Lei-Crime-ebook/dp/B008KUCI3O/ref=sr_1_1_bnp_1_kin?ie=UTF8&qid=1353457375&sr=8-1&keywords=TORCH+GINGER
