Review: Stir Until Thoroughly Confused

Stir Until Thoroughly Confused by Heather Wardell

I recently read Stir Until Thoroughly Confused by Heather Wardell. I started reading this during a point when I was so incredibly overwhelmed with school work I thought I would scream. Instead of panicking I picked up a book. I absolutely picked the right one to read!

The story begins with Mary who is facing divorce and starting over again in a new city. After being fired from what she thought at the time was a dream job she was determined to find another excellent job and start over so she didn't have to return to her home town where her parents and soon to be ex-husband will know she failed.

She applies for a job as a chef at a new restaurant, Magma. She is interviewed by Kegan who is in the process of rebuilding a well established restaurant after a fire decides not to open a new restaurant after all. Determined to work for him anyway Mary does everything in her power to make him change her mind. Little did she know that this would leave to life changes for her too.

I truly enjoyed this book. The characters are extremely relateable. You can almost feel the chemistry between Mary and Kegan, and the tension that comes between them as the struggle to balance personal life and career.  I highly recommend everyone read this book.

I look forward to reading all of Ms. Wardell's books!
