I recently had the pleasure of reading Beneath a Starlet Sky.  This book follows Lola the daughter of a Hollywood star and a mother who wants to be a reality star.  Lola and her best gay friend Julian are trying to build their fashion company.  Julian the designer, Lola the CEO.  At the same time, Lola is trying to juggle the Hollywood life with her boyfriend the down to earth doctor.  Things never go as planned, and in the process, chaos ensues.

This book is definitely for the person who loves the inside and out of the Hollywood lifestyle.  It follows the glitzy fashion side along with the celebrity crazy.  There is even an Anna Wintour type character.  So if you check Perez Hilton daily this is the book for you.

I enjoyed this book however, it was very predictable.  I figured out the cause of Lola and Julian’s problem within the first third of the book.  The characters are very stereotypical such as the gay best friend and the drunk & high actor. Overall, the book did have its funny happy moments.
